Q. What is Guardian EVERYWHERE Intelligent Routing?

Intelligent Routing is a proprietary decision engine for sending geo-tagged messages over the optimal communications path to provide seamless communications amongst your remote and back office workers. The Intelligent Routing Engine chooses between Wi-Fi, cellular, and Iridium communications path. The goal of the Intelligent Routing engine is to send messages over the fastest, least cost, and most battery efficient method. All messages sent through Intelligent Routing are sent over secure channels.

Q. What are the requirements for using Intelligent Routing?

The only requirement for using Intelligent Routing is that your EVERYWHERE App have a paired Iridium device. The Intelligent Routing Engine will detect whether the Iridium device is connected or not and will take appropriate action.

Q. What Iridium devices work with Intelligent Routing?

Intelligent Routing works with inReach Mini, inReach SE+, and the inReach Explorer+ by Garmin as well as the Everywhere EC-100.

Q. Does Intelligent Routing work for both messaging directions?

Yes. Intelligent Routing works on both Mobile Originated (worker to the Hub) and Mobile Terminated (Hub to worker) messages.

Q. Can multi-media messages be sent using Intelligent Routing?

Yes. While multi-media messages, such as images, audio files, and videos, can only be sent over data connections the Intelligent Routing Engine will queue any multi-media messages until a data connection is available.

Q. Does Intelligent Routing work when using an Iridium device in standalone mode?

Yes. The hub detects that the device is only available using the Iridium network and send all messages over the Iridium network. All messages sent from the device will be sent via iridium.

Welfare check schedules can be set at desired intervals “ie; hourly from x to x time” or they can be scheduled for set time of the day, ie; 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.  

With a prominent countdown until the next check-in, users will know at a glance the time of their last and next check-in. An animated confirmation assures users the check-in has been sent to the Hub.
